Understanding transport insurance

• With our transport insurance, you benefit from reinforced protection and compensation equivalent to the declared value.

• Although the carrier has full responsibility for the goods entrusted to him, he can prove that he is not liable, particularly in the case of damage resulting from a case of force majeure (unforeseeable external and irresistible event) or when he considers that the packaging was not sufficient.

• If you do not take out our transport insurance, no compensation will be granted to you.

• In the event that the liability of the carrier is incurred, the compensation paid is not linked to the value of the goods transported and is limited by regulatory texts and international conventions. For Mondial Relay, the compensation is €25 per package, while for most carriers, it is €33 per kilogram.

• In the event of loss or damage to a package and activation of the insurance, Boxtal will transmit the information you give us to our insurance partner AXA and to Marsh, the insurance broker chosen by AXA for claims management.
